Approximately 12 years of professional experience as an entrepreneur, executive and consultant. Significant experience in private equity and venture capital transactions, including capital formation and the sale of companies in which he was part owner. Graduate of the Royal Military College of Canada (B.S.c. in Physics). Finished second in platoon while in Basic Officer Training and was awarded the prestigious Commandant's Award for Exceptional Service. Graduate of the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.).
Since joining Jordan, Knauff & Company, Mr. Paproski has sourced potential transactions in the food industry for IDP clients. He has also played a leading role in the design of the technology, systems, and strategy utilized for IDP s and he is co-manager of the company's Industry Development Projects line of business.
Prior to JKC, Mr. Paproski provided private consulting services to search for and support private equity investments as President of Embark Resources. His clients included Cavendish Finance and SPX Corp. He also assisted Illinois Partners with the assessment of commercialization potential for new technologies developed at the University of Illinois, the University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory.
Prior to founding Embark, Mr. Paproski joined NET3F in 2000 (purchased by Mediagrif Technologies in April 2001 in a private transaction) as Vice-President Strategy and Expansion. While there, he developed the company's strategic plan, raised two rounds of private venture capital, won key customer contracts, negotiated significant technical strategic alliances and played a key role in the ultimate sale of the company.
In 1998, Mr. Paproski joined CPI, a boutique consulting firm as Vice-President Transitioning Client Services. While there he led the strategic and management consulting practice aimed at lower middle-market companies that were undergoing rapid transition due to growth. Mr. Paproski also was Senior Business Consultant at Webworks Worldwide (purchased by Cyberplex in 1998) developing business models for large industry specific applications and New Media Director at a regional advertising agency called Pulse Marketing (later purchased by Cossette).
Mr. Paproski is a graduate of the Royal Military College of Canada (B.Sc. Physics), and from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.), where he earned High Honors and nomination to Beta Gamma Sigma.
