Mr. Pawelko is a Managing Director in Jordan Knauff's Chicago office. Over the fifteen years that Mr. Pawelko has worked in investment banking, he has gained skills in business valuation and transaction structuring and has completed approximately 40 corporate finance transactions aggregating over $40 billion in value. In particular, Mr. Pawelko has performed and
supervised the detailed financial analysis of numerous corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, capital raisings, spin-offs, and recapitalizations. Through his M&A assignments, Mr. Pawelko has gained substantial experience interacting with sellers and acquirers of businesses, and managing all aspects of an M&A engagement. Mr. Pawelko also
has meaningful experience helping corporate clients raise capital through several initial public offerings; as well as private equity, high yield debt, and bank financings; among other financing transactions.
Prior to joining Jordan Knauff, Mr. Pawelko worked in the Chicago offices of Bear Stearns from 2001 to 2004 and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation ("DLJ") from 1998 to 2001 as a generalist investment banker and, prior to that, for five years in the Mergers & Acquisitions department of J.P. Morgan Securities in New York.
After leaving Bear Stearns and prior to joining Jordan Knauff, Mr. Pawelko worked as Vice President, Strategy for J.P. Morgan's Private Client Services Group, which provides wealth management solutions for high net worth individuals and families. He also gained first-hand acquisition experience as Vice President, Corporate Development for The Boler Company, an Itasca, Illinois-based holding company whose primary operating asset is Hendrickson, one of the largest global suppliers of truck and tractor suspensions, trailer suspensions, truck and trailer lift axles, leaf suspension springs and bumpers to the commercial transportation industry.
In addition to a substantial number of domestic projects, Mr. Pawelko has meaningful international transaction experience, having worked on transactions in China, India, Spain, and Germany.
Prior to business school, Mr. Pawelko worked for four years in the Chicago office of Accenture as a Senior Consultant in the firm's Change Management Services practice, focusing on organizational change and business process redesign.
Mr. Pawelko received a Master's degree in Business Administration from The University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business, graduating with honors in 1994, with concentrations in Finance, Business Economics, and Accounting. Mr. Pawelko received a Bachelor's of Science degree in General Engineering from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1989, graduating with honors.
