Approximately 20 years of investment banking, corporate finance, commercial banking and specialized finance experience. Most recently involved in middle-market mergers & acquisitions and capital raising advisory with 18 successful transactions generating approximately $500 million in client liquidity. Significant knowledge in direct debt financing with approximately $300 million in commitments, as well as experience with distressed and nonperforming debt. Has advised companies in numerous industries with a specific focus in industrial manufacturing, distribution and servicing including pipe, pipeline maintenance, recycling and machinery/equipment rebuild and refurbishment. Leads the firm’s specialized practice in the flow control industry which includes the pumps, valves and filters markets. Graduate of Miami University at Oxford, Ohio (B.A. - Business Psychology) and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (M.B.A.).

CAREER DETAIL
Mr. Gonder joined Jordan, Knauff & Company in 2010 and leads the firm’s specialized practice in the flow control industry.

Prior to joining Jordan, Knauff & Company, he was a Vice President at McGladrey Capital Markets L.L.C. where he was involved in middle-market mergers & acquisitions and capital raising advisory with 18 successful transactions generating approximately $500 million in client liquidity. During his five years with McGladrey, Mr. Gonder was responsible for analyzing business models and industries, deriving valuations, and identifying, contacting and negotiating with potential investors and buyers. In addition, he was involved in providing consultation relating to strategic fit, transaction structure, documentation review and negotiation, due diligence assistance and oversight, and general buy, sell and capital raising advisor responsibilities.

From 1994 to 2002, Mr. Gonder gained extensive experience in direct debt financing (with approximately $300 million in commitments) while working with LaSalle Bank N.A. and American National Bank in Chicago, Illinois. As a Vice President in corporate lending with both organizations, he was responsible for a substantial portfolio of middle-market manufacturing, distribution and service companies, as well as work with distressed and nonperforming debt. He also had considerable interaction with and knowledge of complementary banking products and services including treasury management, specialized finance, tax-exempt finance and corporate finance.

Mr. Gonder started his professional career with the Dutch insurance conglomerate AEGON in their investments management practice developing disposition and recovery strategies for nonperforming loans and reclaimed assets.

He is a graduate of Miami University at Oxford, Ohio (B.A. - Business Psychology). In 2004, he graduated from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (M.B.A. with concentrations in finance, economics and entrepreneurship).
