Chicago-based middle-market investment bank Jordan Knauff & Company (JKC) is pleased to announce it has received the 2016 Best Equity Capital Raising Transaction Alternative Investment Award from Wealth & Finance International magazine. JKC earned this award for its work as financial advisor to Des Moines, Iowa-based BH Companies, the fourth largest private multifamily property owner and manager in the United States.
With JKC as its advisor, BH Companies closed on $21.4 million in equity capital commitments for the BH New Opportunity Fund 2015, LP. BH Companies was founded in 1993 by Mr. Harry Bookey to acquire, improve, and manage residential apartment communities located in select geographies in the U.S. Since its founding, BH Companies has achieved notable and sustainable success such that it now includes a family of affiliated entities consisting of BH Equities, LLC; BH Management Services, LLC; and BH Construction. Acting as a collaborative unit, the entities collectively employ 1,650 people, and own and/or manage approximately 68,000 rental apartment units in 22 states.
